Some of you may know, I homeschooled Hayes in first grade. He's now going to be entering third grade and I've decided to have a go at it again...much to the chagrin of his principal and half of my family. I've spent enormous amounts of time online looking over curriculum and have most of it bought now (most of it off EBAY..... I think schools could really cut costs if they would just start getting their materials off EBay :) I followed The Well-Trained Mind for most of it, but found a few other things that looked interesting too. My sis-in-law Kris turned me onto Classical Christian Homeschooling, and their program was similar to WTM in some ways. I like their history/literature based program. I'm going to have to check out some of the books they recommend. We, Kris and I, are going to switch off a couple of days with Hayes and Parker so that they don't miss out on any potential socialization...I may be saying that facetiously....mostly we're doing that so that we can have a break once a week :) By the way the word homeschool is not recognized by the spell checker.....

I really wish I could home school but there is NO way Sadie and I clash big time. I can BARLEY get her to read with me
Hayes and I have a little bit of that going on too, so that's why we take stategically timed recesses each day so I don't have to strangle him :)
Good luck with that! I hope it goes well. I think I could homeschool someone else's kids easier than my own. I'd be too hard on my own kids and not as patient. But wait, that's what I do, school other people's kids! ;)
